Blessing and Inauguration of DOST III Innovation Hub, SARAI Centro Hub, and AMCen

The Department of Science and Technology Region III (DOST III) officially inaugurated three major facilities — the Innovation Hub, SARAI Centro Hub, and Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCen) — on November 13, 2025, at the DOST Regional Office in San Fernando, Pampanga.

The event gathered DOST leadership, partner agencies, academic institutions, and private industry collaborators to celebrate the region’s growing ecosystem of innovation and applied research. The inauguration featured an opening program, blessing ceremonies, and guided tours of the newly launched hubs, each designed to strengthen the country’s capability in innovation, precision manufacturing, and agri-industrial development.

Keynote and Inspirational Messages

The program opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat, DOST III Regional Director, followed by inspirational messages from DOST’s top officials:

  • Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr., Secretary of DOST
  • Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, Executive Director of DOST-PCAARRD, for the SARAI Centro Hub
  • Engr. Robert O. Dizon, Executive Director of DOST-MIRDC, for the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCen)

The inauguration of the Innovation Hub, SARAI Centro Hub, and AMCen in Region III marks another major step toward regional innovation decentralization — ensuring that scientific and technological advances are not confined to Metro Manila but are accessible throughout the country.

By bringing these hubs closer to local communities, DOST III enables entrepreneurs, engineers, and researchers to co-develop solutions for agriculture, manufacturing, and industry development. For Makerlab Electronics, participation in this initiative reinforces its mission to democratize access to technology and make advanced tools practical and impactful for Filipinos.

Looking Ahead

The newly inaugurated hubs are set to become centers for collaboration, learning, and technological advancement in Central Luzon. With the continued partnership between DOST, the academe, and private innovators like Makerlab Electronics, the future of Philippine innovation looks bright and inclusive.

The event concluded with a guided hub tour and demonstration of key technologies, symbolizing the start of stronger cooperation between the government and private sector — all working together toward a smarter, more sustainable, and innovation-driven Philippines.
