NI Day 2026: Jassen Harris Industries Corporation with Emerson NI at Mapúa University Manila




On June 16, 2026, JHIC–Emerson NI Day 2026 gathered engineering students at Mapúa University Manila for a day of learning and innovation. Through the collaboration of Jassen Harris Industrial Corporation (JHIC), Emerson-NI, and the Mapúa University community, attendees explored emerging technologies in automation, embedded systems, and test and measurement.
The program kicked off with an inspiring opening address from Dr. John Paul T. Cruz, who set a powerful tone for the day. He spoke passionately about the critical mission of bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world industrial practice.
Key Highlights:

Industry Perspectives & Live Demos – Engr. Jessica Mae Cortez (JHIC) showcased the versatility of NI CompactRIO in industrial automation, featuring a CompactRIO Demo Kit presentation that provided a hands-on look at embedded systems. Engr. Emmanuel Dilag (Emerson-NI) then explored the future of AI-powered testing and the impact of Nigel AI.
Hands-on Learning – Students engaged with cutting-edge tools at the JHIC booth, including the Analog Discovery 3 and Analog Discovery Studio Max.


Academic Excellence – Dr. John Paul T. Cruz and Mr. John Steven B. Calara emphasized the vital link between classroom theory and real-world application.
The day reached its peak with the awarding of certificates to our guest speakers, recognizing their invaluable contributions. To wrap up the inspiring session, Mr. John Steven B. Calara delivered the closing remarks, leaving students motivated to pursue the future of engineering.
