Jassen Harris Joins Semiconductor Knowledge Forum to Advance Engineering Education

On September 18, 2025, Jassen Harris Industries Corporation joined industry leaders, academic partners, and innovators at the AdU and MUST Transformative Link: A Semiconductor Knowledge Forum, held at Co Po Ty Hall, Dr. Carlos Tiu Center for Technology, Innovation and Research, Adamson University, Manila.

The forum, co-organized by Adamson University (AdU) and Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST), Taiwan, celebrated 13 years of partnership between the two institutions. More than just an academic gathering, the initiative sought to strengthen collaboration between education and industry by highlighting advancements in semiconductor technologies and building stronger pathways for talent development, technology transfer, and innovation.

Highlights of the Forum

The program opened with a welcome address from Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, President of Adamson University, followed by a message of appreciation from Dr. Ming-Feng Lu, President of MUST. An inspirational message was also delivered by Ambassador Wallace Chow, represented by Deputy Minister Dustin Teng-shi Yang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), underscoring the importance of cross-border academic and industrial collaboration.

Distinguished speakers from both academia and industry shared their expertise:

  • Dr. Cheng-Hsun Tony Chang discussed “From IC Education to Quantum Materials: Training Leaders and Driving Innovation”, presenting cutting-edge approaches to semiconductor education and research.
  • Dr. Hsin-Chia Yang delivered insights on “Paving the Way for Semiconductor Innovation”, exploring breakthroughs in IC design and advanced fabrication technologies
  • Dr. Tien-Tzu Sheng highlighted MUST’s unique model of industry–academia co-teaching in semiconductor training through the IC Testing course.
  • Exec. Dir. Ma. Corazon Halili-Dichosa of the Board of Investments presented “Powering Progress: The Philippines in the Global Semiconductor Value Chain”, emphasizing the country’s growing role in the global semiconductor industry.

The session concluded with an open forum moderated by Engr. Antonio P. Doroliat, PhD, Dean of the College of Engineering, followed by reflections and outlook for the future of semiconductor collaboration.

Exhibition and Industry Participation

Alongside the forum, a two-day exhibition (September 17–18, 2025) was held at the St. Therese Quadrangle, Adamson University, where leading companies, including Jassen Harris Industries Corporation, showcased the latest tools, technologies, and solutions in support of engineering education and industry readiness.
